April 9, 2014: Sustainable Curriculum report launch
The Sustainable Curriculum project will be releasing the first annual Sustainable Curriculum Report! Over the past year, Sustainable action fund team has reviewed over 1300 courses at Concordia University through this project, to determine what courses, programs and departments feature high amounts of sustainability. This is an excellent opportunity to learn more about Sustainability at Concordia, and to network and brainstorm ways we can increase the amount of sustainability within Concordia's curriculum. Check out the results and celebrate the start of spring with complimentary local wine and organic refreshments!

April 10, 2014: Spring into gear: Spring Bike Fair and Panel Discussion
Allego Working Group of Sustainable Concordia is organizing a spring bike fair and panel discussion on sustainable transportation on coming Thursday, April 10th . Interesting guest speakers have been invited who will be talking about sustainable transportation systems in Montreal. There will be free food, open house, advice, and repair with bike co-op Right to Move, bike-powered blender for making smoothies, music and lots of interesting information on sustainable transportation at Concordia, Montreal and Quebec.
Bike fair: 12:00 p.m.to 5:00 p.m. on the Hall Building Reggie's Terrace (on the 7th floor in case of rain)
Panel discussion: 4:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. on the 7th floor in front of the CSU office

March 7, 2014: Conference: Urban biodiversity on March 7th (Partnerships for the Living City)
A full-day conference on Urban Biodiversity is going to be organized on March 7th ,2014. The conference, organized in partnership between the Loyola Sustainability Research Centre, the United Nations’ Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), and the Quebec Centre for Biodiversity Science (QCBS) and endorsed by ICLEI- Local Governments for Sustainability, will showcase local and international achievements in urban biodiversity.

March 8, 2014: Business beyond tomorrow
The John Molson Sustainable Business Group (JSG) of Concordia University hosts its annual Business Beyond Tomorrow conference in collaboration with the Concordia Student Union (CSU) at Place Des Arts: 5ème salle on March 8th, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. It is a unique initiative that brings together the Montreal student community, corporate leaders, and sustainable pioneers to discuss social, economic and ecological sustainability. Business Beyond Tomorrow explores the sustainable strategies and obstacles faced by industries determined to promote sustainability, as well as common goals for the future. The conference welcomes keynote speaker David Suzuki, alongside James Temple, Julia Langer and Jean-Benoit Fournier, to educate and inspire the leaders of today, as well as our student community - the leaders of tomorrow.

Awards are given to Concordia students, staff, and faculty who went above and beyond their normal duties to communicate and integrate sustainability into their offices, classes, and lives.

The Trottier Institute for Sustainability in Engineering and Design (TISED) at McGill University and the Institut de l’énergie Trottier (IET) at Polytechnique Montréal are organizing their first annual Trottier symposium on Sustainable Engineering, Energy and Design on 17th and 18th, March, 2014 .
