Teaching Excellence Award

 



The Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science holds an annual Teaching Excellence Award competition: one for a full-time faculty member and one for a part-time instructor to recognize:

  1. Excellence in teaching
  2. Sustained commitment to the improvement of teaching
  3. Innovation in the development of teaching materials and approach.
  4. Leadership in teaching.

Nominators must be students and/or faculty members—at least one of the three nominators must be a student. To be eligible, the full-time faculty or part-time instructor must have completed at least three years of teaching at Concordia by the June convocation. During the Evaluation period, the nominee must have taught at least five courses in the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science at Concordia University, covering a range of topics. In addition, the person must not have received this award in the previous five years. Please consult the full list of guidelines here.

The nomination process begins in February of every year. If you would like to nominate a candidate at that time, please request a nomination form from your department or from the Academic Affairs Office.

President's Teaching Excellence Award

The President's Teaching Excellence Awards began in 2006. Since then, several ENCS Faculty members have won the award, which is awarded on the basis of a university-wide competition. Past winners are:
