Orientation Workshop for New Teaching Assistants

Once a year, in August, the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science assists the Centre for Teaching and Learning Services (CTLS) to organize an Orientation Session for New Teaching Assistants, and with Environmental Health and Safety for the General Health and Safety workshop. Please refer to the CTLS website for details.

Oral Proficiency Test

New applicants for tutors, lab demonstrators and programmers-on-duty jobs in ENCS require completion of the Univerty's Health and Safety Training Workshop and achievement of a score of 4 or higher on the COPTTA (Concordia Oral Proficiency Test for Teaching Assistants) test.

TRAC Collective Agreement

Teaching assistants need to fill in a TRAC membership form, found within Appendix B of the TRAC Collective Agreement, which can be downloaded from the Collective Agreements page of the HR website (scroll to the bottom for the TRAC agreement).
