Application for part-time teaching

Academic and Personnel Affairs

The Academic and Personnel Affairs unit focuses on the faculty personnel and teaching aspects of academic administration and manages full- and part-time personnel and teaching activities, as well as teaching assistants. It coordinates full- and part-time academic personnel and teaching activities in accordance with CUFA and CUPFA collective agreements and University policies. It is also responsible for the maintenance and development of the FIS to meet ongoing needs of the Faculty.


Courses available for part-time teaching are posted following CUPFA deadlines:
  • Feb. 1 for Summer courses (application deadline is Feb 15)
  • May 1 for Fall, Fall/Winter, and Winter courses (application deadline is May 15)
  • Oct. 1 for remaining Winter courses (application deadline is Oct. 15)

Please apply on a paper copy of Appendix H and submit your curriculum vitae and proof of professional engineering license (for courses requiring it) within the deadline to the department you are applying to, with a copy to CUPFA, K-340, SGW, indicating not only the course(s) you wish to teach but all courses you are applying to in other departments and/or faculties. Applicants may also wish to indicate their course preferences using the Faculty Resource Information System, FRIS (http://fris.concordia.ca) but the paper submission is mandatory.  In case where the paper copy differs from FRIS, the paper form will be considered the official application.

Graduate Students and Adjuncts who wish to change their Reserve classification, and meet the conditions outlined in Schedule X of the CUPFA collective agreement will need to complete and send to the Association the appropriate "Change of Classification Form" (Appendix G-A, Appendix G-B on page 100, 101 of CUPFA CA)
