Student Academic Services Office

Student Academic Services (SAS) is the office that deals with admissions and advising. SAS is the place to go to: obtain general advising; receive general information about ENCS Departments; inquire about the admission requirements for programs offered by ENCS; find out what is needed to change programs; access information on transfer credits, student exchanges, visiting students and student requests; and apply for readmission.

The following graduate programs in Building, Civil and Environmental Engineering are offered:

  • Graduate Certificate (Bldg) & Graduate Certificate (Environmental) : 16 credits of course work.
  • M.Eng (Bldg) & M.Eng (Civil) : 45 credits of course work. Environmental Engineering is one of the three major concentrations in the M.Eng (Civil) program.
  • M.A.Sc (Bldg) & M.A.Sc (Civil) : 16 credits of course work plus 29-credits of research thesis.
  • Ph.D : 90 credits including a 70-credit doctoral research thesis.

Graduate study and research in Environmental Engineering are currently offered within the Civil Engineering programs.

Instead of enrolling in a graduate program, qualified engineering graduates may register for courses as independent students. The credits earned in these courses may be eligible for transferring to a regular graduate program.
