Regular January
- Students must complete all 200-level courses required for their program before they can register for any 400-level courses. Please refer to section 71.20.1 of the Undergraduate Calendar.
- All undergraduate students at Concordia University are required to satisfy the university writing skills requirement. Students in the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science have two options for fulfilling this requirement. They may take ENCS 272 and pass with a C- or better, or they may take the Engineering Writing Test, or EWT. The EWT should be taken within the first 30 credits of a student's program, after all required English as a Second Language courses have been completed. No student is permitted to register for ENCS 282, Technical Writing and Communication, unless he or she has fulfilled the university writing skills requirement, either through passing ENCS 272 with a C- or better, or passing the EWT. Find out more about the Engineering Writing Test.
- Technical electives must be chosen from the approved list in the Undergraduate Calendar. Some technical electives may not be offered in a given academic year. For further information concerning the undergraduate Mechanical Engineering program and technical electives, please click here http://registrar.concordia.ca/calendar/pdf/sec71.40.pdf.
- The courses listed may be changed due to continuous modernization of the curriculum. Also, please note that 4th Year Technical Electives in the undergraduate Industrial Engineering program may be taken in the fall or winter term and INDU 490+ extends over two academic terms.
