Each Faculty has a Research Facilitator (RF) who works in conjunction with Concordia's central Office of Research (OOR). The RF is based within the Faculty, is part of the Office of Research team, and acts as a liaison between Faculty members and the Office of Research.

The ENCS Research Facilitator, operating under the Office of the Associate Dean, Research and Graduate Studies, provides individual faculty members, research teams, centers, and institutes with support in the development of a research portfolio. 

Some of the services provided by the ENCS Research Facilitator are:

• identification of  funding opportunities;
• advice on agencies and programs in light of a  researcher’s career phase, need for research funding and the Faculty’s strategic priorities;
• assistance in in all aspects of the funding process, such as discussing application procedures for the various agencies and programs; reviewing proposals and offering recommendations upon the researcher’s request; contacting funding agencies; providing information for other sources of funding in Canada and internationally; and assisting with inter-Faculty collaborations;
• verification of grant applications to ensure they are consistent with agency requirements and guidelines with particular attention paid to evaluation and budget criteria;
• up-to-date knowledge of the provincial, federal, and private funding environment, programs, and guidelines, and dissemination of this knowledge to researchers.
