ENCS IT Service Desk part-time job recruiment

AITS is the ENCS faculty wide IT services department providing academic computing, information services and applications to manage teaching, administrative and research activities of the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science.

Job Role:        Service Desk Operator

Job Description: 

·         Working at front line to provide technical support to walk-ins or via phone or via tickets (emails)

·         Round ENCS general labs and conference rooms

·         Conducting basic troubleshooting on computers and network problems

·         Installing, configuring hardware and updating operating systems and applications

·         Receiving computer equipment and handle shipments as per AITS defined procedures

·         Monitoring and maintaining ENCS printers

·         Helping ENCS students with their email, disk quota issues

·         Maintaining accurate records of service desk inventory

Skills and Requirements

·         Current ENCS Grade or Undergrad students

·         Knowledge of computer networks, desktop operating systems, hardware maintenance

·         Strong communication skills

·         Self-confidence to take the initiatives

·         Achievement-motivated to work with grate pace

·         Team player to work with other AITS service desk operators and full-time staff

Working Hours

·         Shift work from 8:00am to 11:00pm

·         Sunday to Saturday

·         4-5 hours shift at EV or Hall service desks

·         8 to 15 hours availability per week
